Georgia and School

Georgia was freaking amazing. I went down to see my boyfriend and meet his family. They're all awesome and odd, and I fit right in. Georgia itself was very hot, very humid, and very hilly. While there, I went to a Holocaust museum, Stone Mountain, tubing down a creek that's drying up due to drought, panned for gold, and the High Museum of Art. I also learned that Southern hospitality is false; only the non-native southerners around the Atlanta area, be it in the city or 100 miles away, are the hospitable ones. The native southerners = rude. Make for some good stories, though. I really miss Georgia. Well, okay, I miss my boyfriend and his family.

Finished my first week of school. I think I'm going to like my classes this semester. India, science, race and ethnic relations, Latin, the siege of Leningrad, and band. I also got a job as a labmon, meaning I sit in the computer lab and make sure people aren't eating food or smashing the computers. And I was close to fainting during marching band. The dorm room is nice, even if it is back on the third floor. We at least have new furniture. And I'm rooming with Erka again, meaning I don't have to spend another $1000 for a single. Yay school!

Come into the hollow.
